Well, well...I suck at blogging in the midst of work, work & did I mention married life?
Yeah, I'll place the blame on Mister Mr. and his *love* for me....but the reality is, I've been so busy.
What have you been busy with? You ask...
Well, there's this little thing, which is affecting my job, called the oil spill. Yes, THAT oil spill. Let's see...I work in tourism. In Florida. In the middle of a huge crisis that can affect the very livelihood my state (and part of my household) survives on. 'Chea...we've been working haaaaaard!
What else has been keeping me busy? Hmmm...*clears throat*...my business. Yes. I-your favorite absentee blogger-has a business. For close to 3 years, I've been planning and coordinating private & corporate events as an assistant and-at times-as the leader. After having 17 months to plan my wedding, and becoming so engulfed in the wedding world, I decided to make the jump into owning my own wedding & event business.
My company is called: "A Dream Soiree Weddings & Events"
Okay...roll your eyes...it's so cliche, right? The typical bride who just got married who now thinks she's cool/trendy/special enough to now plan weddings & events. Believe me...I had the exact same thoughts about myself, but you can't ignore passion & love, right? My business is my passion and my clients are reaping the benefits from that! In all my years of planning & coordinating, I never thought to get certified...well, now I'm well on my way! :) I've been blessed to have opportunities to prove myself and my business and have been staying consistently busy with weddings, showers, and even a birthday party. When they tell you that you have to LOVE what you do, in order to be a planner, believe you me...they were not lying!
So...I'll still post on this blog (maybe not 3x a week...but I'll try) but you should come on over to
A Dream Soiree's blog to see what I'm up to! I recently wrapped up a beautiful wedding that was held at the exact venue I was married at 3 months ago! It was so gorgeous!
Thank you for being a part of my realization of my passion. Thanks doesn't seem like enough.
CIAO,
Ebonee Monique
