{Wedding Recap} Reception Introductions!

Immediately after we finished our formal pictures we headed to the bridal suite and signed our marriage license with our MOHs, Best Men and Pastor. It was a great moment for all of us!

Afterwards, the bridal party lined up in the hallway and prepared for the introductions. I remember screaming "Be yourselves! Don't go out there all boring & stuff!"

Yep, I'm a classy lady & don't you ever forget! :)

Then it was our turn to be introduced as Mr. & Mrs.

Funny story-after the fact, of course-the DJ played our introduction song as the Bridal Party introduction song and played the bridal party introduction song as ours. Ugh. I was P.O.d when I heard it but had to go with the flow...needless to say I was whispering the entire time to Mister Mr. "He played the wrong song! He played the wrong song!"

Mister Mr.'s reaction: "It's okay, babe!"

And it was...

Then it was time for the father-daughter dance. My daddy & I danced to "Always be your baby" by Natalie Grant! Oh how beautiful! :)

I started out good...but as the second verse neared...I was on the brink of tears.

Then it happened. I looked over at BM "L" and broke down. She was tearing up, I was tearing up...I mean, I LOVE my daddy. So...yeah, cried like a baby.

Then it was time for Mister Mr. and Mommy Mister Mr. to do their thing on the dance floor & boy did they show out! Mommy Mister Mr. is a firecracker and she was ON FIRE!!

Then we sat down and took it all in. This was our wedding day. Everything we'd saved, prayed and cried about for 17 months. It was just a few moments...but I remember looking around that room at all the faces & love staring back and was so happy!

They dimmed the lights...said a prayer over the food...and the reception was under-way!
